30th August, 2015:: Eastern Deanery-Puttur, of Mangalore Diocese organised Deanary Level 'YUVA SPARSH' a one day youth fest on 30th August 2015 at Mai De Deus Church Hall , Puttur.
Rev Fr Alfred J Pinto Vicar Vara of Eastern Deanery presided over the inaugural function. Smt Rekha Shetty, The City Muncipal Commissioner, Puttur was the Chief Guest. Smt Rekha said, “youth should use their talents for the good of the society. They should not indulge in bad habits.” and wished for the success of the program.
All unit presidents of the deanary and guests inaugurated the function by keeping the flowers in the vase.

Mr Brian Fernandes, lecturer NITK, Surathkal spoke about Youth Empowerment and gave live examples about the successful youth in our surroundings .
Rev Fr Santhosh Dsouza Celebrated the Holy Mass.
After Lunch Mr.Prasanth D'costa, Mr Sanod Lobo and Mr.Jaison D'souza conducted fun activity and action songs.
Memento for last year executive members and last year cricket, Spot Games and Relay race Trophy were distributed by Fr Santhosh Dsouza , Deanery ICYM Director.
Concluding ceremony was presided by Rev Fr Santhosh dsouza. youth Director of the Deanery.
He gave message to the youth by saying that youth are the cause for this fest and it has given a meaningful effect.
More than110 youth participated .
