History of St Victor Girls High School

St Victor Girls High School, which was established in 1942, the same year when the country's freedom fighters launched Quit India Movement against the British, can be seen as a visionary initiative because of its exclusive focus on girls’ education. The founder of the school, Monsignor Antony Patrao foresaw the importance of girls’ education and his efforts have enabled more than 717 girls to pass out from the annals of this institution to the mainstream of society to lead a life of excellence, respect and dignity in their chosen fields. With this in mind, the silver jubilee in the year 1967 and golden jubilee in 1992 were celebrated. Today, the school has marched ahead in excellence to celebrate its platinum jubilee year.
